Kenneth Hugh Key, 78 of Houston, entered into rest on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at Princeton Baptist Medical Center.
Mr. Key was born on March 3, 1938 Jasper, Alabama. He was a member of Houston Congregational Church.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 21, 2016 from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in
Double Springs, where services will be held at 4 p.m. Brother Homer Jones and Brother Bobby Smith will officiate. Burial will follow in Poplar Springs Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife of 59½ years, Vera Mae Key; son, Ralph Key; daughter, Lilly Key; brother, Rocky (Darlene) Key; sister, Glenda Morris; and special friend, Ricky Moody. He was “Poppa” to 5 grandchildren, Kenny Key (Kayla Grace), Shian Key, Ralph Woods, Chris Spain and Charity Watts; and 11 great grandchildren.
Mr. Key was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Staller Key; sons, Kenneth Ray, Donnie Ray, Billy Joe and Charles Ray Key; daughter, Rebecca Key; and grandson, Terry Lynn Ralliff.
