Mr. Cordie L. Loyd of Cullman passed away on March 12, 2016 at Shadescrest Nursing Home in Jasper at the age of 92. He was born in Cullman on April 8, 1923 to Gilbert D. and Carrie McClendon Loyd. He is preceded in death by his parents, Wife: Marie Loyd, Son: Steve Loyd, Grandchildren: Amy Loyd and Matthew Loyd. Mr. Loyd was a veteran of The United States Army.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 14, 2016 at 1 p.m. at Moss Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Scott Sessions officiating. Interment will be in Cullman Memory Gardens.
Survivors are: Daughters: Kay (Sidney) Yarbrough, Carolyn (Art) Blaylock, Judy (Ross) York, Sons: Lester (Mary) Loyd, Carl (Libby) Loyd, Dennis (Janna) Loyd, Hershel Allen (Katie) Loyd, David Loyd, Grandchildren: Melinda (Daniel) Silverthorn, Jimmy (Karen) Loyd, Nicholas (Callie) Loyd, Tina (Andy) Weldon, Justin Loyd, Chris Yarbrough, Eric (Jena) Blaylock, Amanda (Josh) Sparkman, Andrew York, Austin (Erica) York, 15 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Grandchild.
Visitation will be on Sunday, March 13, 2016 at Moss Funeral Home from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m.
