JOPPA – On Thursday, March 10, Cullman County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Jacob Aaron Kidd, 19-years-old, of Decatur and Corey Lance Parker, 22-years-old, of Hartselle for one count each of burglary in the third degree.
Kidd and Parker were burglarizing a home in the Joppa community in Cullman County on Thursday, March 10, when a witness saw them and called 911. A Be On the Look Out (BOLO) was placed by the CCSO to the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office and the Somerville Police Department.
A short time later, the SPD located and detained the suspects until CCSO deputies and investigators arrived on the scene. Once there, investigators located the stolen property in the suspects’ truck; this included a 74-inch television in the truck bed.
All of the stolen items were recovered by investigators and returned to the property owner.
“First off I would like to say thank you to the witness who saw the burglary taking place and called us. (sic) We were able to arrest the suspects and recover the stolen property for the homeowner,” said Cullman County Sheriff Matt Gentry. “I would also like to say I am proud of the job the deputies and investigators did and also thank the Somerville PD for their assistance in catching these guys.”
Kidd and Parker are currently being held in the Cullman County Detention Center without bond.
