CULLMAN – Investigators with the Cullman City Police Department (CPD) and Cullman County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO), along with agents with the Cullman Narcotics Enforcement Team (CNET), arrested Jammie Dewayne Thompson, 42, of Baileyton, for trafficking in methamphetamine, unlawful possession of marijuana, first degree and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

The operation that led to the arrest was executed in the Holly Pond community late Thursday, March 10, 2016. Investigators made entry into the residence where they located Thompson and numerous amounts of drugs.

CPD and CCSO seized approximately 1.5 ounces of methamphetamine, 3.75 ounces of marijuana, a .32 Cal pistol and $1,844 in cash.

“These are drugs that won’t make it to our children and also the money that was seized won’t be able to buy more drugs to go out into our community," said Sheriff Matt Gentry. “I would also like to commend all those who worked on this case for the good job they did on this arrest."

Thompson is currently being held in the Cullman County Detention Center on a $1 million bond.
