Mr. Bill Andrews of Fairview passed away peacefully on March 6, 2016 at his residence at the age of 86. He was born on March 13, 1929 to Jefferson Davis Sr. and Lucy Welborn Andrews. He was a Quality Control Engineer for NASA and after retirement he was elected to The Cullman County Commission. He served from 1991 to 1994. He also served in country in The United States Navy. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister: Judy Parker, brothers: J.D. Andrews Jr., Wallace Andrews, Bob Andrews and Bud Andrews.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 10, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Fairview First Baptist Church with Rev. C.J. Andrews officiating. Mr. Andrews will lie in state at the church from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery.
Survivors are: Wife of 62 years: Gail "Breezie" Andrews, Daughters: Melanie (Ken) Plunkett, Karen Andrews, Susan (Steve) Eddleman, Brother: John B. Andrews, Sisters: Betty (W.O.) Hale, Anne Andrews, Toby (Lee) Akridge, Connie Lemons, 8 Grandchildren, 7 Great Grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be at Moss Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m.
