Sherrel E. Hancock, 83, of Vinemont passed away Saturday Feb. 20, 2016 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. He was born October 22, 1932 in Cullman County to Thomas Albert Hancock and Lillian Victoria (Shedd) Hancock.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 24 at Moss Chapel, Rev. Kerry Cleghorn and Rev. Sam Hollis will be officiating with interment at Cullman City Cemetery.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers Tom Hancock,and Frank Hancock.
Survivors include his wife Dorothy Bates Hancock; one brother Harold (Helen) Hancock, one daughter Brenda(Marlin)Jennings ,2 sons Ronnie(Mary) Hancock, Mike(Lendy) Hancock; grandchildren, Rusty (Jyme) Jennings, Randy (Alicia) Jennings, Chase (Brandi)Hancock, Keisha(Hendric)Schuster, Kiel Hancock, Abbie Hancock, Matt Hancock and Jeremy Hancock and 11 Great Grandchildren. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Visitation will be Tuesday, Feb.23 from 5:30 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Moss-Service Funeral Home.
