Lola Mae Hood Ergle, 90 of Haleyville, entered into rest on February 20, 2016 at her home.
Mrs. Ergle was born on November 10, 1925. Lola was a member of Liberty Grove Missionary Baptist Church for 20 years.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Haleyville. Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at Liberty Grove Missionary Baptist Church, where she will lie in state from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Brother Ronnie Marbutt and Tex Lee Ergle will officiate. Burial will follow in Winston Memorial Cemetery.
Lola is survived by her sons, Ronald D. Ergle, Preston W. Ergle; daughters, Laura J. (George) Coyne, S. Reba (Floyd) Balcomb, Kathy C. (David) Rose; seven grandchildren, Michael Coyne, Christean Coyne Christensen, Shawn Ergle, Kista Ergle Reynolds, Pamala Ergle Dunscombe, Lisa Rose Earls, David P. Rose; and sixteen great-grandchildren, Isobel Coyne, Tyler Coyne, Kai Christensen, Beckett Christensen, Lonnie Ergle, Taylor Ergle, Elayna Reynolds, Case Reynolds, Nellie Dunscombe, Fisher Dunscombe, Trubie Dunscombe, Justin Earls, Catelyn Earls, Autumn Earls, Hanna Rose, and Regan Rose.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elzie B. Ergle; parents, John Marion and Rosa Lee Hood; brothers, Samuel Paul Hood, Silas Robert Hood, Joseph Marion Hood, Herbert Junior Hood, Gene Autry Hood; sisters, Carlee Hood Ergle; RV Hood Ward, and Jewell Hood Diehl.
