Ernestine McGuire Whitman, 75 of Haleyville, entered into rest on February 14, 2016 at Lakeland Community Hospital.
Mrs. Whitman was born June 19, 1940. Mrs. Whitman was a member of Posey Mill Missionary Baptist Church. She Attended Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church where her husband is Pastor. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, and crocheting.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 15, 2016 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Haleyville, where services will be held Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at 11 a.m. Brother Ronnie Marbutt will officiate. Burial will follow in Winston Memorial Cemetery.
She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Rayburn Whitman; daughters, Kim (Jeff) Sartin and Vickie (Jeff) Hamm; brother, James (Carolyn) McGuire; sister, Jean (Louis) Wallace; and one grandson, Matthew Sartin.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Parker and Eula McGuire.
