Mr. James G. Cooper Celebration of Life Services for James G. Cooper, age 75 of Hanceville, will be at 2 p.m. on Thursday, February 11, 2016 at Cullman First Baptist Church, with Dr. Edwin Hays & Paul Levering officiating.

James was born on August 26, 1940 in Alabama to the late Curtis and Edith Paralee Scott Cooper, and passed away at his residence on Tuesday, February 09, 2016. He was a longtime member of First Baptist Church, founder of Cooper Management Company in Cullman. Mr. Cooper coached little league football and softball, and was the “Great maker of cheese toast”. Every Thursday, James always looked forward to lunch with his special friends for the past several years. Preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Jeannette Cupp.
He is survived by Wife of 53 years – Charlotte Cardin Cooper; Daughter – Amanda Cooper Kent; Son – Brian (Kay) Cooper; 3 – Granddaughters – Kennedy Cooper, Carter Kent & Campbell Kent; Grandson – Carden Cooper; Sister – Fay (Johnny) Nail; Niece Robin (Mike) O’Berry.
The family will receive friends at The Point at First Baptist Church on Thursday, February 11, 2016 from 12:30 p.m. until 2 p.m.
In Lieu-of-Flowers the family request donations be made to the building fund at First Baptist Church.
