Funeral services for Jerry Mack Buckelew, 77, of Cullman will be held on Thursday, January 21, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Hanceville Funeral Home Chapel; with interment in Duck River Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Hanceville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Buckelew passed away on Monday, January 18, 2016 at home with family.
Jerry was born September 1, 1938 in Cullman County. He was a US Army veteran having served as a medic in Texas, Georgia and Birmingham. He was a well-known business owner of three Video Express stores in Cullman; as well as Hanceville. Jerry was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church and reunites with his parents in heaven, Elbert J. Buckelew Sr. and Minnie E. Buckelew.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Alene E. Buckelew; son, Bart B. Buckelew; brother, Elbert J. Buckelew Jr. and grandchildren, Abby Buckelew, Hunter Buckelew and Josh Buckelew.
He will be missed greatly by his family, friends and his dearly beloved pets.
