Funeral services for Harvey Eugene Gilliland, age 91 of Hanceville, will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home with Wayne Wisner officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Cullman Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Gilliland passed away on Thursday, January 7, 2016 at his residence. He was born June 5, 1924 in Morgan County. He worked in construction as a roofer.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Mary Annie Miller Gilliland; his first wife, Ruth D. Gilliland; a daughter-in-law, Shelaine Gilliland; two brothers and three sisters.
Survivors include his wife Jean Simpson Gilliland; a daughter, Patricia Gilliland; three sons, Bobby Gilliland, Ricky (Wanda) Gilliland and Terry (Kim) Gilliland; three step children, Melanie Henderson, Sherri Grey and Paul Bandy; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Friday evening from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
