Funeral Services for Opal Skelton, age 93 formerly of Holly Pond, will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at New Hope # 2. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery. She will lie-in-state at the church for one hour prior to the service.

Opal was born on January 8, 1922, in Tennessee to the late Jessie & Ollie Mathiney Emerson. She passed away at Woodland Village Health Care on Wednesday, January 06, 2016. Mrs. Skelton was a long time member of New Hope # 2; enjoyed gardening, sewing, travel and nature.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 55 years, Willie Bob Skelton; son, Bobby Skelton; daughter, Norma Rohlfes and 7 siblings.
She is survived by 7 – Daughters – Patsy Breen, Doris Bishop, Shirley Lanningham, Deborah Alice Lane, Sandra Rushalski, Carol Johnson, Pamela Bacon; 2 – Sons – Barry Skelton & Kenneth Skelton; 2 – Sisters – Ruth Britenfield & Linda French; Brother – Paul Emerson; and a Host of Grandchildren, Great-Grandchildren & Great-Great-Grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, January 8, 2016 from 5:30 p.m. until 8 p.m.
