CULLMAN – With a constant stream of inclement weather throughout Christmas Day, the Cullman Electric Cooperative has been working all day to restore power.

"We have about 900 households without power right now. 1,300 (households) have been out and restored today," said Brian Lacy, communications manager & media spokesperson.

Lacy said crews will continue to work around the clock until all power is restored; however, most of the current outages are located in Winston County.

"There are scattered small outages all over the service area, but the biggest right now is out of our Helican substation in Winston County," he said.

Lacy said that approximately 500 of the 900 households currently without power are connected to the Helican substation.
