CULLMAN – Cullman County Sheriff Matt Gentry wants residents to be aware of the deteriorating road conditions linked to today’s continuing heavy rains.

"We have numerous roads across the county that are now giving us problems," Sheriff Gentry said.

Gentry is asking residents to stay home unless it is absolutely necessary to be on the roads.

"We are just asking people to stay in and not travel unless it necessary due to the road conditions," he said. "We want everyone to use extreme caution if traveling. Our main goal is to keep everyone safe."
