Lonnie Glenn Morgan, the youngest of twelve children, was born to Oather and Docie Lavonia "Lovie" Morgan on May 22, 1932 in Dora, Alabama and left this life on November 10, 2015 at the age of 83.

He is survived by one brother, Frank Morgan, his children: George "Ken" (Dorothy) Morgan, Rachael (Paul) Baswell, Karen (Randy) Jackson, Glenda (Jeff) Rhodus, Edward Anthony Morgan, and Daniel Ray Morgan, seven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews, also survived by the loving mothers of his six children, Audrey Morgan.

Glenn served our country, beginning his career in the Navy. He spent a portion of his naval enlistment aboard the USS Randolph patrolling the Mediterranean Sea during the Korean Conflict. He continued his service with numerous years in the Coast Guard and finished his military career serving in the Air Force where he became a veteran of the Vietnam War. His tour in Vietnam earned him a bronze star metal. Glenn retired from the military in 1971.

Glenn loved music, especially bluegrass. His love for music began at the early age of 4 when he began playing the mandolin, followed by the guitar and fiddle. He spent many years sharing this love of music with others as a founding member of the bluegrass band, Down Home.

He was tender hearted; being quick to help strangers or anyone in need and will be missed by a broad range of family, friends, and acquaintances.

Glenn's family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. on Friday, November 20, 2015. Everyone will then join together at Mt. Zion Cemetery for a graveside service.
