MADISON – Hanceville based band, Dark Before Dawn was the opening act for Shaman Harvest at 11th Frame Live, July 15.

Dark Before Dawn’s sound was professionally balanced; every piece of instrumentation heard on their EP could be heard just as clearly at the venue.

In a previous interview with CullmanSense, the band made it clear that their shows were high energy. Dark Before Dawn certainly did not disappoint.

Lead singer, Janessa Bryan, used every bit of the stage and even walked out into the audience area whilst performing.

Drummer, Jake Gable, performed many complicated stick tricks without ever missing a beat.

The band even gave the audience many opportunities to participate in the show, including allowing a few women on stage to dance during a song. “We want them to shine. We want to bring girls on stage and let them feel like I do, like we do, during these songs,” said Bryan.

Although Dark Before Dawn has played the venue many times, this particular performance marked a night of firsts.

One of the band’s guitarists, Scott Aldridge, left the band with no ill will earlier in the week. This was the first show the band has played without two guitarists.

The band also debuted for the first time their newest song, Walk of Shame. The song is ex-pected to be their next single.

With a strong stage presence, a great band dynamic and a perfectly balanced sound, Dark Be-fore Dawn puts on a quality show one won’t soon forget. The band frequents the 11th Frame Live venue, making it the most convenient place for local fans to catch a show.
