CULLMAN – Yesterday, July 20, 2015 the Cullman County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) arrested Amber Marie Trybalski De Loach, 24 years old of Arab, Ala. and Jeremy Fitzpatrick De Loach, 22 years old of Arab, Ala. for felony child abuse to a four year old child.
The victim was taken to a local hospital by a relative and then the hospital in turn alerted CCSO deputies and investigators. Physicians noticed that the victim was very malnourished, had a broken rib that had not healed, a burn that resembled a cigarette burn and also had a BB lodged in the buttocks as well as other injuries associated with child abuse.
“The sheriff’s office has made it a priority to care for those who cannot care and fight for themselves,” said Sheriff Matt Gentry. “I have stated many times that when someone injures a child there isn’t a punishment severe enough for them to receive,” added Gentry.
Amber Marie Trybalski De Loach and Jeremy Fitzpatrick De Loach have been charged with Aggravated Child Abuse, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
CCSO investigators worked in cooperation with the Department of Human Resources and the Cullman County District Attorney’s Office.
Both are currently being held in the Cullman County Detention Center with no bond.
