Drug Bust Nets Drugs and Guns

CULLMAN – On Sunday July 5, 2015, agents with the Cullman Narcotics Enforcement Team (CNET), arrested Fasha Jade Deans, 26 years old of Cullman, AL and Michael Ruben Evans, 44 years old of Cullman, Ala.

Ms. Deans was arrested for Unlawful Possession of Control Substance, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd, Two counts of Attempting to Elude, Reckless Endangerment, and Certain Person Forbidden Possess Pistol.

The drug bust originated in Fairview, Ala. where Mr. Evans was arrested at the scene for an outstanding warrant. Ms. Deans fled in her vehicle, a white Cadillac CTS, and CNET agents pursued with the assistance of Cullman Police Department and Cullman County Sheriff Deputies, and arrested her just outside of Hartselle, Ala. after her vehicle struck a road sign and short foot chase.

The arrest led to the seizer of Meth, Marijuana, a 12 gauge shotgun and a 380 pistol.

“I am proud our law enforcement officers were able to arrest the two individuals and to do it safely. This is yet another example of our tireless effort to pursue drug offenders that are hurting our community,” said Sheriff Matt Gentry.

Ms. Deans and Mr. Evans are currently being held in the Cullman County Detention Center.

As the investigation continues other charges may be pending.
