DODGE CITY – A domestic violence incident escalated to a shooting at the Dodge City Petro Lube Sunday evening around 6 p.m. Michael Dakota Libauskas, 29 years old of Hanceville, was arrested after a shooting at the Dodge City Petro Lube.

“A domestic incident earlier in the day between Libauskas and his girlfriend, who works at the Petro Lube, continued when the girlfriend told a co-worker about the domestic incident and the co-worker contacted Libauskas about the domestic incident,” Cullman County Sheriff Matt Gentry said.

Sheriff Gentry said Libauskas then showed up to the Petro Lube to confront the co-worker and began chasing and shooting at him.

“I would like to thank the deputies for their quick response to this situation which kept it from being much worse,” Sheriff Gentry said. “The victim did not sustain any injuries."

Mr. Labauskis is being charged with Domestic Violence 3rd Degree-Harassment and Attempted Murder. He is being held at the Cullman County Detention Center with no bond.
