Our goal is to train, develop and prepare players to reach their full potential, athletically and personally, through skill training and character building.”
Jeremiah Castille, Founder of the Jeremiah Castille Foundation

CULLMAN – Former University of Alabama football player, Jeremiah Castille, was the guest speaker at the Cullman Area Chamber of Commerce’s Community Luncheon on Friday, April 24. He spoke to a crowded room about character and leadership. An ordained minister, Castille created the Jeremiah Castille Foundation, whose vision is to invest, influence, impact and inspire lives so they will rebuild and restore generations.

“Everybody has value, everybody matters,” said Castille. “When you invest in people, you will see a return. Why is that important – investing? Investing in people opens the human heart.”

Castille encouraged area business leaders to participate in the 8th Annual Character Camp. The Castille Character Camp was established in 2008 and provides a fun, safe and skill-focused experience for youth and athletes. Jeremiah Castille, assisted by former NFL and Division I athletes, will teach the fundamental skills of athletics. The camp will give participates a competitive edge in their athletic performance.

The Character Camp will offer hands-on instruction of non-contact skills. It is designed to provide a solid foundation in football fundamentals while teaching character training. Participates are taught teamwork, self discipline, consideration of others, and how to attain and maximize their true potential, relative to their age and development both on the field and in life.

“Our goal is to train, develop and prepare players to reach their full potential, athletically and personally, through skill training and character building,” Castille explained. “The camp is divided into four quarters with character corner during half-time.”

The Castille Character Camp will take place Friday and Saturday, June 5 and 6 at Heritage Park.  To register, contact the Cullman County Board of Education located at 402 Arnold Street NE, Cullman, AL 35055.
