HANCEVILLE – Hanceville High School was originally constructed in 1923, and an elementary school was built in 1936. When a new high school was erected in 1955, the older school became a junior high.
The Hanceville Band was formed in 1952. The first band director was Mr. Bonnie K. James of Hanceville.
Today the Hanceville Bulldog Band, under the direction of Mr. Steven Porter, is going strong and continues to entertain people of all ages.
