Funeral services for Johnie Edward Freeman, age 77 of Cullman, will be at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 8, 2015 at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home Chapel with Clennon Shedd officiating. Interment will be in Antioch Cemetery at Fairview.
Cullman Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Freeman passed away on Friday, March 6, 2015 at his residence. He was born August 17. 1937 in Cullman to the late Earnest and Truedell Freeman. He was a tool and dye maker for 28 years and was retired from Daimler Chrysler. He joined the Air Force in 1955 and met his wife while serving in Germany.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Gerald Freeman; and sisters, Edna Bavar and Doris Wright.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Jutta Freeman; five daughters, Ria Freeman, Rene (Travis) Best, Rose Turney , Teresa (Nathan) Stewart and Jan White; eight grandchildren, Misty Sandlin, Kymberly (Malcolm) Sheppard, Jason Freeman, Scottie (Ninah) League, Krystal (Alex) Pantoja, Samantha Stewart, Collin Stewart and Nicholas Raymond; eleven great-granchildren, Chayce Sandlin, Aubrey Sandlin, Rush Sandlin, Kymarie Sheppard, Justis Freeman, Sarah Freeman, Cobie League, Caleb League, Alissa Robinson, Alejandro (Bubba) Pantoja and Mason Pantoja; five brothers, Ray (Tina) Freeman, Earnest Terrell (Janice) Freeman, Jack (Sue) Freeman, Jimmy (Gail) Freeman, and Emitt (Bonnie) Freeman; and two sisters, Ethel (Benny) Tuggle and Carolyn (Allen) Adamson.
Visitation will be Saturday evening from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
