Graveside services for Bettye Waites Estes will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Cullman City Cemetery with Rev. Paul Smith officiating and Moss Service Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be on Saturday from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. at Moss Funeral Home.
Mrs. Estes, who died on March 4, 2015 at her home in Decatur, Alabama, was born on September 17, 1930 in Alexander City, Alabama to Montee Z. and Inez Free Waites, the youngest of five children, all deceased. From 1959 until 1989 Bettye and her late husband John B. Estes, were owners of Valley Oil Company, Phillips 66 Gasoline Distributors in Decatur. She was a member of Memorial Baptist Church.
Survivors include : Sister-In-Law: Rozelle Estes (Bert) Bedard, 11 nieces and nephews, 20 great nieces and nephews, 20 great great nieces and nephews and 7 great great great nieces and nephews. Also mourning her passing are the members of her late husband's family.
The family request donations be made to Alabama Baptist Children's Home or the charity of your choice instead of flowers.
