Mrs. Glendon Shedd Phillips, age 80, of Holly Pond, passed away at her home Wednesday, March 4, 2015. She was born in Cullman County to Berry Henry and Mary Thomas Shedd.
She was a long time member of Zion Grove Baptist Church, Girl Scout counselor for 10 years.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, George Marvin Phillips; and brother, Theron Shedd.
Survivors are two sons, Mickey Raymond (Kay) Phillips and Sam Stephen (Lolita)Phillips; two daughters, Teri P. Roberts and Jennifer Phillips; two sisters, Delba Howard and Bettye Price; 9 grandchildren, Sean P.(Monica) Phillips, Neil Roberts, Stephen (Brandi) Phillips, Lee Kuykendall, Toshia Arregiun, Luis Arregiun, Maximo (Alissa) Herrera, Ashley Maino, and Richard Herrera; 14 grandchildren; and a dear pet and best friend, Archie. Family has requested in lieu of flowers, that donations be made to American Heart Association.
Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday, March 6, 2015 at Holly Pond Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 7, 2015 at Zion Grove Baptist Church. Mrs. Phillips will lie in state 1 p.m. until service begins at 2 p.m.
