Funeral services for George William VanHolt, 79, of Hanceville will be held on Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at 1 p.m. at Hanceville Funeral Home Chapel; Father John O’Donnell officiating; with interment in Center Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Hanceville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. VanHolt passed away on Friday, February 13, 2015 at his residence.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Cecelia Fox VanHolt; two sons, Lewis “Luke” Walsh and Larry Walsh and a sister, Roberta McCullogh.
He is survived by his wife, Edna VanHolt; two daughters, Luann (Jimmy) Fahie and Kelly (Mark) Armstrong; two daughters-in-law, June Putman and Tara Walsh Clowers; nine grandchildren, Melissa Ann Fahie, Jaime Lynn Fahie, Michael Allen Palovcak, Brandi Ann Walsh, Kourtney Lachae Quick, Brandon Andrew Walsh, Mark David Armstrong II, Brittani Lechae Armstrong and Ashley Morgan Clowers; seven great grandchildren, Michael Daniel Blackmon, Nathan William Gundy, Steven Palovcak, Ayden Brooks Grant, Bella Palovcak, Spencer Ryan VanOrmer and Nicholas “Bear” Bryant Armstrong; two sisters, Jenny McGrath and Cecelia Costello and brother, Edward Costello.
