Funeral service for Wendell Franklin Smith, age 80 of Cullman, will be Monday, January 26, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bud Perkins officiating.
Cullman Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Smith passed away Saturday, January 24, 2015 at Cullman Region Medical Center. He was born January 22, 1935 in Cullman to the late Vernard and Inez Smith.
Preceded in death by 2 sisters Janet Nunnley and Lois McKay, grandson Alex Davis, 1 great grandson and 2 great granddaughters.
He was a retired Truck Driver for Roadway Trucking.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years Melba A. Smith, son Wade Smith, 3 daughters Kathy (Mark) Teichmiller, Debbie (Billy) Shaw and Wendy (Vince) Williams. 16 Grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Sunday evening from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at funeral home.
