Funeral Services for Mabel Goodlett Bentley, age 90 of Goldridge Community, will be at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, January 25, 2015 in the Moss-Service Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Center Grove Cemetery with Whit Rice and Phillip Ashley officiating.

Mabel was born on August 13, 1924 in Cullman to the late William E. & Beulah Thompson Goodlett, she passed away on Friday, January 23, 2015 at Hanceville Nursing Home. Mrs. Bentley was a lifelong resident of the Goldridge Community, attended Macedonia church of Christ. She was a hard working homemaker, farmer and gardener, which loved visits from friends and family, especially the grandchildren. She was also known as a wonderful cook and passionate about her flowers.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Elvert E. Bentley; a grandson, Chris Bentley; two sisters, Eloise Speegle and Wynelle White; and one brother, James Goodlett.
Survivors include her Daughter – Donna (Donnie) Rice; 2 – Sons – Terry (Debra) Bentley & Stanley (Margo) Bentley; 7 – Grandchildren – Whit (Jessica) Rice, Jared Rice, Dustin Bentley, Shane (Randi) Bentley, Rachel (Shaun) Embry, Andrew (Julie) Bentley, Aaron Bentley and 8 – Great-Grandchildren; 3 – Sisters – Barbara (Gordon) Bennett, Sarah (Bill) Patrick & Virginia Bonner; and one Sister-in-Law – Mary Ellen Goodlett.
The family wishes to thank the Staff of Hanceville Nursing Home and Southern Care Hospice for their dedication to Mrs. Bentley.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Saturday, January 24, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
