Funeral Services for Lillie Berry Blackwood, age 91 of Cullman, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 24, 2015 at Northside Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Crossroads Cemetery, with Bro. Dennis Trimble & Bro. Randy Milligan officiating. She will Lie-in-State at the church from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m.

Mrs. Blackwood was born in Atlanta, TX on September 5, 1923 to the late Virgil & Minnie Clayton Thompson. She passed away on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. Lillie retired from West Elementary as the lunchroom manager. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 69 years, W.O. "Dee" Blackwood; a son, Larry Dee Blackwood; a daughter, Doris Screws; five brothers, and three sisters.
Survivors include 2 – Daughters – Joyce (Charles) Nix of Chattanooga, TN and Barbara (Richard) Friedrich of Cullman; a Son-in-Law – Mike Screws of Cullman; 8 – Grandchildren & 14 – Great-Grandchildren.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
In Lieu-of-Flowers, the family request donations be made to Northside Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, January 23, 2015 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.
