Funeral services for Daphine Whatley Gingrich will be on Thursday, January 22, 2015 at Seventh Street Baptist Church at 2 p.m. (lie-in-state 1 p.m. until 2 p.m.) with Eric Martin, Randy Makemson and Kerry Cleghorn officiating. Interment will be in Fairview West Cemetery.
Cullman Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Gingrich passed away on Monday, January 19, 2015 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. She was born August 26, 1934 in Cullman.
Mrs. Gingrich is preceded in death by her parents, B.D. and Myrtle Fine Raines her first husband, T.W. Whatley; and a daughter-in-law, Sheila Whatley; and three brothers, James, Paul and Frank Fine.
She is survived by her husband, Walter Gingrich; a son, Danny (Saundra) Whatley; three daughters, Deborah (Jack) Welch, Brenda (Rick) Welch and Vicky (Dale) Johnson; three step-sons, Frank (Debbie) Gingrich, Bob (Christina) Gingrich and Bo (Annette) Gingrich; 21 grandchildren and 21 Great-Grandchildren.
Visitation will be at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.
