Funeral Services for Mr. Millard Frederick Thurman, age 83 of Vinemont, will be at 11:00 a.m. in the Moss-Service Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Meek Cemetery in Arley, with Bro. Tim McCormick, Bro. W.C. Green and Bro. Billy Wooten officiating.

Millard was born in Portsmouth, Ohio to the late Alvin & Mable Hamilton Thurman on January 4, 1932; and he passed away at home surrounded by family on Sunday, January 18, 2015. He was an Operating Engineer by trade.
Survivors include his Wife of 58 years – LaVonne Phillips Thurman; 2 – Daughters – Donna Johnston & Wendy Beatham; one Son – Ronald Frederick Thurman; one Sister – Florence Stowers; 5 – Grandchildren – Amanda Dunn, Alexander Jennings, Justin Thurman, Dallis Grimmett & Carmen Thurman; 5 – Great-Grandchildren – Sidni & Kane Dunn, Reese & Cavin Jennings & Benjamin Grimmett.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, January 19, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
