Funeral services for Delores Jean Yates Durham, age 82 of Huntsville, will be at 1 p.m. on Friday, January 9, 2015 at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Charles York officiating. Interment will be in Etha Cemetery.
Cullman Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Durham passed away on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 in Cullman, AL. She was born June 22, 1932 in Cullman to the late James and Avy Holmes Yates. She was a homemaker.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband of over 57 years, Sherman Edward Durham; four brothers, Doil Oree Yates, Donnie O’Neal Yates, Kenneth Odean Yates and James Lamar Yates; and two sisters, Dorothy Fleshamel and Evelyn Harden.
Survivors include her two sons, Terry O. Durham and Joel K. (Shirley) Durham; four grandchildren, Danielle Durham, Gina Durham, Terry Lee Durham and Tiffany (Nathan) Booker; four great-grandchildren, Kayla Durham, Isaiah Marsh, Xavier Marsh and Hayle Booker; and two sisters, Wilodean Yates and Patsy (Thomas) Hale.
Visitation will be on Thursday evening from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
