Funeral services for Mrs. Oletta Calvert Graves, age 90 of Cullman, will be Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at 1 p.m. from Moss-Service Funeral Home Chapel, Bros. Sonny Tucker and Gene Persall officiating. Burial will follow at Cullman City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Shane Kilgo, Mark Calvert, Brian Calvert, Anthony Addison, Sidney Grimmett and Heath Attaway.
Mrs. Graves passed away Saturday at Cullman Long Term Care. She was born August 5, 1924 to Mills and Molly McSwain Calvert of the Brushy Pond community. She married Ernest Graves December 13, 1941. They were happily married for forty four years, until his death due to a stroke. They were both members of Persimmon Grove Church of Christ.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers; Carl and Mancel Calvert, sisters; Jewell Vandiver, Nellie Phillips, Vetra Graves and Evia Calvert, father-in-law; P. H. Graves and mother-in-law; Nannie Dollar Graves.
Survivors include her daughter; Sheila Graves (Teddy) White, three grandchildren; Stephanie (John) Hood, Nick (Amy) White, and Allison Lewis, six great grandchildren; Reilly Hood, Tyler and Tayler White, Ava, Kate and Evan Lewis and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and brothers and sisters-in-law.
