Funeral services for Wilma Swann Tolbert, 92, of Athens will be held on Monday, December 1, 2014 at 2 p.m. at Hanceville Funeral Home Chapel; with interment in Hopewell Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Hanceville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Tolbert passed away on Friday, November 28, 2014 at Athens Limestone Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Georgiann Brown Swann; her husband, Carlos Tolbert; son, Daril Tolbert; granddaughter, Arica Jones; brothers, James and Fred Swann and sister, Jeanette Foti and Maria Fata.
She is survived by daughters, Julia Tolbert and Deborah (Richard) Murphy; daughter-in-law, Jane Tolbert; grandchildren, Jeff Tolbert, Blake Tolbert, Melissa Murphy and Melanie (Brad) Newman; great grandchildren, Abigale Jones and Peyton Lowery; grandson-in-law, Mark Jones; brother, David (Pai) Swann and a host of nieces and nephews.
