Funeral services for Jose Antonio Diaz, 82, of Hanceville will be held on Saturday, Nov. 22, 2014 at 3 p.m. at Hanceville Funeral Home Chapel; Larry Duke officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m.
Hanceville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Diaz passed away on Monday, Nov. 17, 2014 at Hanceville Nursing & Rehab.
He was born on Oct. 6, 1932 in Havana, Cuba to Julian & Maria Molina Diaz and is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Adela Diaz; a son, Nelson Diaz; a sister, Mercedes Diaz; and two brothers, Guillermo and Jesus Diaz.
Survivors include a son, Ivan Diaz; a daughter, Irene Anderson; eight grandchildren: Shanelle Diaz, Melissa Setterlund, Danielle Rada, Chris Anderson, Tanya Weldon, Jessica Pinaula, Jacob Diaz and Joey Diaz; nine great grandchildren: Yuliza, Abigail, Hayley, Zachary, Dakota, Chloe, Micah, Elliot and Damien; and a sister, Josefa Molina.
