CULLMAN – If you are looking for the home of your dreams, you may want to take a short drive out to the new Dream Home Outlet. Locally owned and operated, Dream Home Outlet offers you the best in manufactured homes at a price that is simply…. a dream!

Les Sandlin, Wendy Korshak and Moe Korshak, owners of Dream Home Outlet officially opened their new manufactured home business on September 27, 2014.  The three are local folks, from both the Cullman and Good Hope area, with tons of combined experience in the business.

“The three of us decided to get out of the corporate structure and provide a better quality house with a better price for everybody,” said Moe. “The market seems to be finally making a comeback, so instead of working for somebody else, we thought we’d do it ourselves,” he smiled proudly.

Dream Home Outlet sells only the best in manufactured homes.

“We carry Fleetwood Homes, which is a huge name in the manufactured home and recreational vehicle business,” Moe continued. “We picked them because they have been voted Manufacturer of the Year for the last five years. They make a really good quality house at a really good price. And when we eliminate the corporate fees and the commissions the sales people make, we’re delivering a much better house at an incredible price.”

Having a nice, fine quality home is great, but having that same home beautifully furnished is a dream come true. The people at Dream Home Furnishings know that and they are prepared to help you in any way they can to make your new home look amazing.

“We have a deal worked out with Dream Home Furnishings here in town,” Moe explained. “We don’t have any interest in their company and they don’t have any interest in ours but we’ve partnered together so they are furnishing our houses and helping us decorate them and we’re going to push their merchandise so it gives them another show or avenue for some more exposure. There are a lot of people buying new houses and wanting new furniture to go with them. It really works well for both of us.”

Manufactured homes come in all shapes and sizes. They are beautiful and spacious and lots of people live in them. But when it comes to tornados and stormy weather, are manufactured homes considered safe?

“As far as safety is concerned, we take these homes apart – then pull them from the factory and we deliver them from here,” Moe began. “A lot of times they’re going down the interstate at 70 miles per hour and they don’t lose any structural stability. They do not lose the shingles or the siding. So structurally they are perfectly sound,” he grinned. “When we set the house up and anchor it to the ground, it’s actually anchored to withstand up to 70 mile per hour winds. If you get toward coastal areas, they anchor them a little heavier for hurricanes – up to 130 mile per hour winds. Let’s face it; if you have a direct hit from a tornado, it doesn’t matter if you’re in a solid brick building, it’s going to be destroyed.”

Manufactured homes have come a long way over the years. Today’s home can be anything you want it to be. Beautiful, safe and affordable, they have the potential to be a dream come true.
