CULLMAN – If you are looking to spend a magical evening with a state celebrity and hero, then you should be at the Cullman Civic Center on October 10. Sardis Baptist Church has put together an evening to remember with good food, fellowship and James Spann of ABC 33/40.
James Spann is a local weatherman for the area, who has been hailed as a hero for his incredible work on the tornado footage of April 27, 2011. It was with his tireless efforts during this time that saved many lives. He is now being honored by the Sardis Baptist Church for being a faithful servant to the people of Alabama.
“This is a great opportunity to invite the community to meet our church,” said Donny Yarbrough, pastor for Sardis Baptist Church. “It also allows them to see the work we are doing with our mission, and to meet a local legend and public servant, James Spann.”
The money raised from the event will go toward funding the church’s Written on My Heart Mission trip to the Philippines. This mission will deal primarily with helping victims of a recent typhoon that has wreaked havoc in the area.
Dinner will be catered by Luna’s BBQ. Tickets will sale for $20 at the door, and $15 beforehand. You can buy your tickets at Sardis Baptist Church, Luna’s BBQ, The Barn and Basch Brothers. This promises to be a night to remember, so buy your tickets now. For more information, please call 256-595-7331.
