CULLMAN – If it is 10 a.m. on Saturday and you’ve just left the Farmer’s Market with your kids and don’t want to go home just yet, stop by Deb’s Bookstore to see Dianne Burch and the star and inspiration of her new book, “Maxnificent”.

Burch, hoping to launch a 17 book series with her first installment, is visiting Deb’s to meet and greet fans and friends, as well as sign books for those in attendance.

Burch, who has “a deep love for animals and has made a habit of taking in the neediest of animals that cross her path,” according to her website, A World of PawSabilities – yeah, I know, it’s adorable – will be at Deb’s supporting the animal shelter, and funds raised at the event will benefit the care of local animals.

Oh, also, there will be a pet adoption station set up in the parking lot. So, go ahead and plan on making a trip home with a new furry friend, and that’s not counting on dad who didn’t shave that morning because it is a Saturday and almost time for no-shave November.

This is an opportunity to expose kids to the people who actually create the literature that we tell them all the time is so important. Burch has themed her first book around being able to recognize our special talents and abilities and what makes each and every kid an important person.

The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and is a good opportunity to support Deb’s Bookstore, one of Cullman’s best local bookstores.
