Funeral services for Mrs. Helen Watts Huffstutler Thompson, age 82 of Cullman will be held on Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the Moss-Service
Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Mt. Vernon Primitive Baptist Cemetery, with Elder Kenneth Watts officiating.
Helen was born on March 17, 1932 to the late Henry & Ollie Moon Watts, she passed away at Hanceville Nursing & Rehab on August 31. She is preceded in
death by her parents, her husbands, Charles Ervin Huffstutler and Foster Thompson; one son, Roger Huffstutler and 5 – brothers, Ethridge Watts, Quinton Watts, Hulon Watts, Weldon Watts & Eugene Watts.
Survivors include her 3 – Daughters – Charlotte (Jerry) O'Rear, Marilyn (Terry) Brown & Celia (Kenneth) King; Son – Craig (Tammie) Huffstutler; Sister – Mildred (Irvin) Heaven; Brother – Wendell (Jane) Watts 15 – Grandchildren, 21 – Great-Grandchildren; and 1 – Great-Great-Grandson.
The family received friends for visitation at the funeral home on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
The family wishes to give special thanks to Southern Care Hospice for their support and to the staff on Ivy Lane at HNRC for the love and care that they gave their mother. Especially Paighton, Stephanie, Katy, Crystal, Shayna, Brandy & Miranda.
