CULLMAN – There are many great places to have dinner in Cullman, but how often do you go to dinner knowing your money is going to help the community? On Tuesday, July 22, Cullman residents will have the opportunity to have a delicious meal and help our local hospital.
The Cullman Regional Medical Center (CRMC) Foundation is partnering with Jim ‘N Nick’s restaurant to hold a fundraiser for the hospital. Proceeds from the fundraiser will go to helping the Foundation pay for upgrading patient’s rooms, according to Maria Stanford, executive director for the CRMC Foundation.
“We are so grateful to Jim ‘N Nick’s for approaching us about a charity night,” Stanford said. “We are currently in the middle of a capital campaign, where we are trying to refresh patient rooms throughout the hospital. So when we were approached about this charity night, we were eager to involve the entire community.”
Jim ‘N Nick’s Community Bar-B-Q has become an extremely popular place to eat since its recent opening, and the hope is that popularity will help to raise as much money as possible for the Foundation. The concept of the charity night is simple. Ten percent of every drive-thru, take out and dine in order will go to the CRMC Foundation. Stanford said there is a catch to this wonderful deal.
“Ten percent of the dining, drive-thru and to go orders go to the Foundation,” Stanford said. “But here’s the kicker, you have to mention that you want the 10 percent of your sales to go to the Foundation.”
The fundraiser will run from 12-8 p.m. on the 22nd. It is a simple idea, which will benefit all patients at Cullman Regional Medical Center. Just order your food, mention the fundraiser, and help this wonderful foundation make our hospital a better place for patients and their families.
