Scholars’ Bowl Scoreboard county wrap-up: West Point high school and middle school teams dominate

CULLMAN COUNTY, Ala. – West Point’s high school and middle school teams in 2021 continued the dominant performance in Scholars’ Bowl that they have enjoyed over the last several years with undefeated regular seasons and sweeps in their respective county tournaments. To top it off, a single West Point Middle School eighth grader Brodie Henry, was given permission to play at the varsity level, s and  was the high scorer and MVP of both leagues. 

High school season results 

  •  West Point – 8 wins, 0 losses 
  • Cullman – 6 wins, 2 losses 
  • Good Hope – 6 wins, 2 losses 
  • Hanceville – 5 wins, 3 losses 
  • St. Bernard – 5 wins, 3 losses 
  • Vinemont – 3 wins, 5 losses 
  • Cold Springs – 2 wins, 6 losses 
  • Fairview – 1 win, 7 losses 
  • Holly Pond – 0 wins, 8 losses 

Middle school season results 

  •  West Point – 10 wins, 0 losses 
  • Cullman – 8 wins, 2 losses 
  • Hanceville – 8 wins, 2 losses 
  • Vinemont – 7 wins, 3 losses 
  • Cold Springs – 6 wins, 4 losses 
  • Good hope – 5 wins, 5 losses 
  • Harmony – 4 wins, 6 losses 
  • St. Bernard – 3 wins, 7 losses 
  • Fairview – 2 wins, 8 losses 
  • Parkside – 2 wins, 8 losses 
  • Holly Pond – 0 wins, 10 losses

  • Alyson Williams from Good Hope with 260 points 
  • Brady Absher from Hanceville with 210 points

First place – West Point 

Second place – Cold Springs 

Third place – Hanceville

  • Tyler Campbell of Vinemont with 510 points 
  • Brady Laughlin of Harmony with 400 points 
  • Josiah Johnson and Rebecca Baggett, both of Cold Springs, with 340 points each
