CULLMAN, Ala. – Autumn is a beloved season to many in Cullman with summer heat bidding adieu, mosquito population dwindling and fall festivals and Halloween community events on the schedule. Fridays and Saturdays, Oct. 14-15, 21-22 and 28-29
Nightmare in Vinemont – 7 p.m.-midnight at the Cullman County Agricultural Trade Center at 17645 U.S. Hwy 31 N, Cullman, AL 35058. Tickets are $20 for those 10 and older and $10 for those 9 and younger. Included is or a trip through the haunted house, followed by a haunted hayride that winds around the Cullman County Association of Volunteer Departments training center wooded area. Horror films will be shown outside of the Ag Center and the concession stand will be open. The attraction is a fundraiser for the Vinemont-Providence VFD’s Fire Explorer Program.
Saturday, Oct. 15
Halloween Art and Oddities Market – Noon-6 p.m. at Dodge City Tattoo Company at 501 Alabama Highway 69 S, Suite E, Hanceville. Vendors will have Halloween-inspired arts and crafts made by local artists including jewelry, paintings, sculptures, crochet taxidermy and outsider art. There will be food trucks, costume contests and tattoo specials.
Saturday, Oct. 22
Kids Loving Kids Howl-aween Dog Crawl – 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Heritage Park dog park in Cullman. Music, dog costume contest, dog snacks and dog prizes. Costume contest at 12:30 p.m. Entry fee: gently used or new toy.
Southside Baptist Church Fall Festival – 11 a.m.-3 p.m. 2003 Main Ave. S.W, Cullman. Live music from the Key family and Journey Worship. Kickball tournament, bounce houses, games, shaved ice and more. Call 256-590-7716 to register a kickball team or for more information.

Berlin Trunk or Treat – 6-8 p.m. Berlin Farmers Market. The Berlin Volunteer Fire Department will be selling smoked chicken plates. Growers with Berlin Farmers Market will be set up and selling for the last day of the market season. Everyone will be giving out candy.
Hanceville Friends of the Festival Trunk or Treat – 4-6 p.m. in Downtown Hanceville. Kids lineup begins at the corner of U.S. Highway 31 and Commercial Street.
