Aaron Sparks now CHS Asst Principal on staff coordinating Turning Point/ISS

CULLMAN – Aaron Sparks, who has been working in the Cullman City Schools central office coordinating Turning Point and In-School Suspension (ISS), will now be based out of the high school and will be the CHS Assistant Principal on staff coordinating Turning Point and ISS placement, along with school safety, transportation and technology.

Sparks is entering his 17th year as an educator and is a 1993 graduate at Cullman High School. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Athens State University in 1999, his master’s degree in educational leadership and administration from the University of Alabama in 2005. Sparks is currently pursuing his educational specialist degree in instructional leadership at the University of West Alabama and will graduate in December.

Sparks began teaching and coaching for Cullman City Schools in 2000 before moving to Cullman High School in 2004. In 2012, Sparks became the administrator at the Cullman Alternative School. In addition to teaching social science, he has served as an assistant football coach, assistant baseball coach, assistant soccer coach, and head softball coach for Cullman City Schools.

Sparks is the proud father of three girls. Twins Harper (9) and Parker (9) attend East Elementary and Lily Katherine (6) attends the Cullman City Primary School.
