West Point 61, Susan Moore 60 (Girls)

West Point looked to finish strong in the Keith Davis Memorial Christmas Tournament on Friday. They took on Susan Moore in what turned out to be a close game throughout. The Lady Warriors held an 18-15 lead after one, but saw themselves deadlocked with the Lady Bulldogs at 30-all at the half. They took a 49-46 lead into the final period, and were able to hold on to the one-point victory, improving to 12-5 on the season before they moved on to play Lawrence County (TN) later on in the day.

Lawrence County (TN) 66, West Point 60 (Girls)

West Point played its second game of the day against Lawrence County (TN). The Lady Warriors got off to a quick start, taking a 19-9 lead after the first, but got outscored, 25-13, in the second, and went into the locker room down, 34-32. It was a close third between both teams, but West Point was able to take a 48-47 lead heading into the fourth. Unfortunately, they were unable to hold on to the lead, as Lawrence County took the momentum, and West Point wound up falling, 66-60, to finish 2-2 in the tournament.
